TVclean safely cleans flat screen TVs and monitors

    tvclean

Even the most tidy person out there eventually stares at their TV and suddenly realizes that the screen is absolutely filthy.  Well if you’d like to remedy that without worrying about damaging the screen of your flat screen TV, you might want to pick up one of these TVclean.  Although it looks a bit like an overpriced lint roller, it’s a device meant to clean the screen of your TV, laptop or your monitor.

You just run it on the screen and it picks up any dust on the screen, as well as cleans off things like greasy fingerprints.  I’m not sure how all those fingerprints seem to accumulate on your TV and monitor, but they always seem to show up all on their own.  It also as an added bonus claims to be eco-friendly, which is always nice.  You can check out the video of it in use on their website.  Basically how it appears is that you run it along the monitor, then pop in the cartridge and a small adhesive strip cleans off the cartridge.  That adhesive strip gets tossed away.  To purchase your own it will cost you £29.99 or about $49.  The refills on those adhesive strips will cost you £11.99 or about $20.

Wifi Scale helps track your weight through your iPhone

      scale1

Sticking to a diet is never a simple task, you end up having to jump through a bunch of hoops just to keep yourself on track.  Then on top of it, you have to keep yourself motivated enough to care.  Well this Wifi Scale could be the visual motivation you need to keep eating right.  Instead of just weighing yourself and scowling over the numbers, you can discover if you’ve gone up or down over time.  You can even keep an eye on the ups and downs when you’re away from the scale itself.

This very thin and chic looking scale links up with your iPhone to help you keep an eye on things.  Through your iPhone you can view a graph that shows whether you have gone up or down, which might be just enough to keep you from ordering what you shouldn’t on your lunch break.  The numbers over time can be compared to references created by nutrition doctors.  It sends all of this information automatically, when you step on the scale.  You can purchase it for €130 or about $180.

    Powerbocks gives you Power Leaps

powerbocking-3This next device is one that I want to purchase on sheer impulse alone. I mean, look at the guy in the photo, he’s truly the poster child of “footloose and fancy free”.

And yes, it is all because of the Powerbocks, those odd contraptions that he wears about his feet. They each contain a foot-plate with snow-board like bindings, and they are fastened just below the knee. The three-foot long spring is the real source of the bouncing power, and allows the user to release stored potential energy like a walking trampoline.

Designer Alexander Boeck was apparently inspired by kangaroos for this invention, as the Powerbocks allows the user to extend their own Achilles tendon to accomplish super-human jumps.

According to my source, it takes about 30 minutes before a new user can bounce around with ease. Not only can you use these Tigger-like bounces to jump over cars, but the Powerbocks are an excellent method of exercise as well.

Well, I’m not certain if they are worth the $269 price tag. Perhaps if the designer can create something that allows me to jump like Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman, then I might be willing to pay that much.

By the way, if the Powerbocks were ever combined with the Digilegs, then you might have the next fad.

    London Garden Concept Bike

londongardenbike-thumb-550x389-21338There are some concept gadgets that seem too dreamy to ever be real. This one concept bike, which is an idea for mass transit renovation in central London called London Garden, is probably one of them.

This bike is not like any bike that I have ever seen before, as it also doubles as a generator. See the solar panels on the wheels? Using the sun’s rays and the pedaling of the cyclist, energy is created and stored within the bike itself.

This energy can later be used to turn the bike into an electric scooter or charge another vehicle like a bus. That’s right, part of this design is so cyclists can board specially made buses with their “bike batteries” and plug them into the bus to provide power.

These cyclists will be rewarded by not having to pay a fare, because hey, they’re paying for the fuel, right? Not only that, but there is even plans to store the bikes in the air, so that wind power adds more power.

I don’t know about you, but this concept could not work now. I mean, you would have to completely redo the bus system to get this to work, and major renovations like that take years. However, the designers of London Garden are taking a step in the right direction for greener power as every watt of energy is being harnessed.
