The Vornado Flippi V fan
Weather is slowly but surely heating back up, but being Springtime it’s that awkward period where heat isn’t usually needed and it’s not time for the air conditioning either. There are days though that you might be tempted to flip on the air conditioning. For days like that when you’re just not ready to flip on the air, it will take a very well powered fan to cool things down. This fan from Vornado would be great during those days when you need things to cool back down a bit. This pricey fan even looks better than the average fan you might see sitting around the average home or office. Then you add in that it will move air 40 feet and this is no ordinary fan. You can set it up in a convenient spot, then keep the remote control with you, making it so you don’t even have to get up to adjust the fan. It has three different speeds and an LED display on the fan itself. It also comes with a 3 year warranty to make sure that you get your money’s worth. This fan will cost you $79.99. | The Mr Brightside USB Light
Task lighting is always nice when what you’re working on isn’t well lit, sometimes it can become difficult to concentrate. There have been several lights that are powered by your USB ports and this is just one more to add to the list. I do find it a little odd how tiny it is. With other types it seemed like it could easily illuminate something besides your keyboard keys, but with this it seems like it wouldn’t be that bright. However, if you like to plan for anything when you’re traveling, this could easily be stashed within your laptop bag. Hopefully it’s brighter than it looks, from the picture it seems to be only as bright as one of those weak keychain lights. The light comes in a variety of colors, black, cherry, lime and blueberry. You can even choose to purchase a pack of three in all the same color for slightly cheaper than the individual price. For one it’ll cost you about $9 and for the pack of three it’ll cost you $20. Then if you lose one, it won’t be expensive to replace it. | New Averatec N2700 netbook
TriGem USA has just made available yet another player in the already crowded notebook market - the Averatec N2700. This new mobile computing device will not skimp when it comes to features, and TriGem USA has made an extremely attractive offer for it which we’ll look at in closer detail at the end of the post. For the moment, let’s take a look at what the Averatec N2700 has to offer, shall we? For starters, this model will feature an Intel dual-core processor running at 2GHz, a 250GB hard drive and an 8x super multi DVD optical drive, all running on Microsoft Vista Home Premium. According to Henry Hewitt, vice president of sales at TriGem USA, âThe N2700 notebook is an ideal solution for consumers looking for the sweet spot in terms of price, portability and performance. Itâs larger and more powerful than a typical netbook computer and offers great portability over notebooks sporting 13-inch screens and larger.â We certainly cannot deny that, since it is much beefier compared to a standard netbook, and yet it won’t break the bank with the relatively affordable $699 price point, where we’ve seen some higher end netbooks in the past retailing for approximately that price and yet lack the processing muscle to boot up Internet Explorer 8 in a fast and seamless manner. There is one drawback that the Averatec N2700 (and any other standard notebook for that matter) is unable to compete in â" the size of the netbook will always win out, at least for the moment. Other features of the N2700 includes a whopping 4GB RAM, integrated 802.11b/g wireless connectivity along with 10/100/1000 Mb/s wired networking. You will also benefit from a trio of USB 2.0 ports, while a FireWire port is there for folks to transfer their large multimedia files from devices such as camcorders over at a much faster rate compared to USB 2.0. Don’t expect this to be a head turner though, but we do think it offers a whole lot of bang for your buck. Press Release
| Miniature Foosball Table
This next product takes me back to junior high, during lunch time. My school had several foosball tables that were always occupied, and I always ended up playing goalie. I remember back then I had this brilliant idea of creating a miniaturized version of a foosball table. My prototype used a shoebox, knitting needles, clamping clips, and a marble for the ball. It didnât go over very well. It appears that someone has perfected my dream with the Mini Desktop Wooden Soccer Table. As you can see, it is everything its name describes. Now you can have foosball in your home, without taking up too much space. Of course, youâre going to lose something in the translation. Iâm looking at the picture of this, and have noticed that the players are positioned at the front and back of this table. Everyone knows that when you play foosball, you are supposed to be standing on the sides. Yes, it isnât the worldâs largest foosball table, and who knows if it is the smallest? However, if you want to get down on this mini-foosball action, the Desktop Mini Wooden Soccer Game is available now from our gadget-loving friends at Brando. You can get it at the official site for a price of $39.00. Source

| Barack Obama Presidential Flash Drive
Yes we can make a USB Flash Drive with Barack Obamaâs face on it, and yes, some company can make a few bucks off of it. Of course, there is more to this flash drive than just a picture of the 44th President of the United States. No, this 2GB flash drive has 30 MB worth of bonus material. This material includes the famous âRace Speechâ in MP3 format which is about a good hourâs worth of audio. In addition to that, there are several other speeches on the thumb drive in PDF format. The Obama thumb drive also includes an official photo of the man himself from the White House, that the user can print and frame. This reminds me of that Ghostbusters thumb drive that PNY put out a while ago. That one had the movie in DRM format, and Iâm surprised that the Obama drive doesnât have some video footage of the president. I was hoping this administration would be all over that. So is this the beginning of thumb drives with a theme of world leaders? Why not. I canât imagine what other countries are doing in light of this. As for now, the Obama thumb drive is available for a low price of just $10. Any of that money going into a re-election campaign? Source
| Pinhole Camera Shoots You Like a Gun
Now you know what James Bond sees. You know, at the opening of the Bond films when he shoots that shooter guy? Welcome to the age of the pinhole camera, a camera that looks like a gun. Youâre not going to be able to see the viewfinder in this picture here, but even if you were to see it from that sexy shooterâs point-of-view, you wouldnât see it. In other words, this camera gun has no viewfinder. You might wonder what good that is. Designer Franziska Dierschkeare says that the pinhole camera isnât about a photographer setting up the perfect shot, but rather the shutterbug act of shooting of many pics at a given time. I have to admit, the pinhole camera does sound like a lot of fun. In fact, I recommend having a few around at the next big party you have, and let some shooters go at it for your Flickr page. Of course, the fact that the camera looks like a gun could disturb the guests. So far, this is a concept for now, and there is no rumor of an estimated price. Since this is still underdevelopment, I have a suggestion. These photos have to be stored digitally, right? Why not design it so the user can insert a USB thumb drive into the gun just like loading ammo clip into a real gun. Now that would be cool. Source
| Diamond Weather Station is covered in Swarvoski Crystals
Having around a weather station isn’t entirely necessary. After all, you could just hop online to find out the weather forecast for the day. Making weather stations just another gadget to collect dust. So looking for a new angle, one company decided to come out with a weather station covered in Swarvoski Crystals. It does all the usual weather oriented tasks, but makes weather just a touch more shiny. Just from the photo the design does look a little cheesy, but if you adore all that glitters then you probably appreciate the look. The weather station can tell you the time or by just waving your hand you can view the indoor/outdoor temperature. On the side in crystal form it lets you know the forecast for the day. It does so by showing the symbols instead of spelling it out. The clock is an atomic clock, so very precise and will automatically update for daylight savings time. It isn’t out just yet, but once it is it’ll cost you $139. | Trispecs merges trio of functionalities in one device
Convergence devices are cool in their own right since they allow you to do more with just a single device, saving you money as well as space in the process. The Trispecs is one of such devices, masquerading as a standard pair of fashionable sunglasses while doubling as a Bluetooth headset and earphones without anyone else knowing the better. There are three buttons located along the arms of the shades that allow you to control your MP3 player as well as phone functions, making them look slightly more bulky than usual although that ought to be fine since many fashion sunglasses do feature outrageously huge arms from time to time. The retractable headphones also feature noise cancellation technology courtesy of the boffins at STEP Labs, while their STEPvoice software provides voice-recognition to further enhance the performance of the Trispecs. Depending on your choice of Trispecs, it will retail anywhere from $199 to $224, and will be available in black, white, red, blue, gold and silver colors. Source: Popgadget
