The Mini Marshall Amplifier portable speaker
If you’re an aspiring or successful musician, likely you have a serious love for your music. Which means you’ll need all kinds of methods to listen to your favorite tunes. The absolute best way to do that would be with a speaker that shows your deep love for what goes into making the music to begin with. This portable speaker is shaped like a miniature amp and is small enough that you could take it with you when you’re away from home or just in an area of your home without music. The mini amplifier measures 4.5 inches wide, 2 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches tall. The speaker is a small reproduction of a normal Marshall half-stack style amp. If you want to move around with your music playing out loud, you can clip the speaker to your pocket. To control it, you just use the knobs on the front. You can run it either on a 9-volt battery or plug it in using the AC adapter. You can purchase it for $62 on Urban Outfitters. | Bless Automatica Remote Control Car and iPod Speakers
Nothing goes together like iPod Speakers and Remote Control Cars. Okay, those are two devices that donât really pair together very well, but I can still remember the day when no one would have paired a cellular phone with a camera. Not that it was a long time ago, by the way. In other words, you never know what two devices the electronic world is going to blend together. Bless Automatica has done it with the Remote Control car with iPod speakers. So what can you do with this? Well, start by putting the speakers in the back, and take your pimped-out remote control car for a ride with some serious ghetto-blasting speaker action. Apparently, it can somehow hold these speakers on the back of the car, and the car will not tip over. Yeah, donât ask me how that is possible. By the way, the remote control car can be used as a CD holder or a tray. If you are interested in this item, it can be purchased at Chip Chick for â¬275.00. If you havenât heard of Chip Chick, it has âTech and Gadgets from a Girlâs Perspectiveâ, but I canât help but think that remote control cars are more of a âboyâs toyâ. Clearly, I need to join the mores of the new millennium. Source
| Tent lights a high tech solution to a camping problem
Anyone who has kids that are in scouts know about the camping experience. They also know about how painful it can be when youâre groping around in the dark of the night and tripping over tent ropes. Thousands end up with rope burns, turned ankles, and heaven knows what else, and seek first aid for maladies that ruin the campout experience. Now that can all be avoided with a simple TentLED on each rope. Invented by Dutch designer Van Berlo, TentLED is a simple platic encased LED light that can be tied on to the tent ropes with a knot any Cub Scout would know. The internal LEDs are able to adjust their brightness as the sun goes down and will turn on and shut down automatically. Theyâre also both waterproof and shock resistant. No word on how much the TENTLEDs will run, but I can already imagine executives from Big 5 and other sporting goods companies wanting order 4 packs for the camping season. Iâll certainly buy a set if they come to the states. Iâd much rather be âtentledâ by those lights than invisible tent ropes when Iâm trying to get to the potty in the middle of the night! | Sony HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder
Yesterday, Sony unveiled their newest HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder. Its design is similar to many âFlipâ camcorders that have hit the market these days like the Kodak Zi6 and the many models from DXG. This camcorder can capture 1920×1080 high-definition video and four-megapixel photos. It has 16GB worth of flash memory which is about 6 hours worth of video recording. Footage can also be added to the Memory Stick PRO Duo media (sold separately) for additional recording time. The camcorder has a 2.7 wide LCD touch panel, and very instinctive controls. What really makes this camcorder device unique is that it has a GPS antenna and NAVTEQ digital maps to geo-tag videos and photos, and it even can document destinations on a map. This content is marked by a push pin at each shot location and can be played back on the camcorderâs screen, or on the userâs PC with the included Picture Motion Browser software. Other features include Smile Shutter technology that automatically snaps quality photos as subjects smile, and Face Detection technology can recognize and enhance faces by correcting focus, exposure, and color control automatically. If you want in on the HDR-TG5V camcorder, then be warned, it will cost about $1,000. An optional travel kit is about $100 with a battery, travel charger and pouch. You can also get a wide angle conversion lens for the same price. This camcorder and its accessories will be available in May. Source

| New Shoes grow with kids
One thing about having kids is that they outgrow their shoes more often than they wear them out. So, it is with great interest that Iâll be following these new INCHworm trainers which promise to grow with kids up to one full shoe size. Using a technology called âiFit,â (what, is Apple an investor?!), the INCHworm has an accordion like middle which can be pulled out after pushing a button release. Then, wearers can pull out by the toe in ½ size increments. While pulling out to extend the size, there is a counter in the heal which ticks off the size change. But built into the heal is bound to break it before it can properly keep track. Regardless, this translates to essentially having three pairs of shoes before having to replace them, giving Junior plenty of time to wear the shoes down a tad more before outgrowing them. In fact, designers promise that these shoes will take the toughest playground abuse kids have to offer and last three to six months longer than the average tennis shoe. The INCHworm also has another advantage ⦠if your kid has one foot larger than the other, which is fairly common, the shoeâs can be adjusted accordingly thereby making for a far more comfortable fit. The INCHworms are available in Great Britain now through distributor Fat Shoes Day and are available in three styles for kids aged three to ten. Cost is a tad pricey upfront, though, at $106 US. | Moody Message Pad Hub
This next device, the USB Moody 3-Port Hub and Erasable Memo Pad, is one that I believe that everyone needs. I canât begin to tell you how many times that I have been sitting at my computer and had to write down a number. I then have to put the phone in that place in between my neck and my shoulder and then type it onto some Notepad document, only to lose it later after I close my computer and forget to write it down. Now, if I had some erasable pad to write down the number, that would be another thing. Granted, this product isnât a Wacom Tablet, and doesnât transfer the number onto a digital file for a Paint program, but do you really need that? Not only is this product environmentally friendly, but it has a mood light with three colors. So if you want to see some periodic flashes of blue, red, and green as you work on the computer, this is the product for you. The USB Moody 3-Port Hub with Erasable Memo Pad plugs into the computer via USB, and has 3 USB ports so you can plug other devices in as well. Itâs hard to believe that this device is available for only $14.99. You can get it at the gadget4all site. Source
| Vintage Suitcase turned into lighted vanity
Apartments and homes are rarely set up perfectly, so sometimes you have to get a little creative. One usual area with issues is the bathroom. My current apartment is within an old home and the bathroom doesn’t have a single outlet. You could have a similar issue or you may just not want to get ready in the bathroom, purely because there are too many people that need to use it. Well if you’re in a small place, you may not have room to designate for a vanity table. This oddball suitcase may be just the thing, you could hang it on the wall near your desk and it’d still leave floor space free. Each vanity cabinet is custom made. You can’t purchase the particular one in the picture, since it was a past model that has already been sold. You can however, have something similar done, since all of the specifications are really up to you. Within the price though, you’ll get the nice vanity lighting, a mirror and the drawers. If you happen to live in New York City, the Etsy seller will even personally install it for you. Those that would have to do it yourselves though, the seller gives all the hardware needed. You can pick it up for $300 on Etsy.
